Dr. Dog – "America's Next Great Band"

Dr. Dog are quite the busy boys these days. They stopped by Late Night with Conan O’Brien last night to wow the crowd with The Old Days from the very anticipated Fate (Park The Van). Check out the performance here. They will also be stopping by Morning Becomes Eclectic on KCRW on August 8th to play a 30 min. set. They were Band of the Day on yesterday too. SXSW Keynote Speaker Lou Reed Loves Dr. Dog

If you made it down to SXSW this year, you may have caught the tribute to this years keynote speaker Lou Reed. You may have also caught the interview which you can check out in it’s entirety here. When Lou was asked out of 1500+ bands playing the festival who was his favorite, he had but one response: Dr. Dog! A Tribute to REM's Automatic For The People


Ubiquitous blog Stereogum is following up their popular Radiohead tribute album with another great tribute, this time to REM’s Automatic For The People. A number of artists on the Ten Music roster are involved – including Dr. Dog (Park the Van), Dappled Cities (Dangerbird Records) and Figurines (The Control Group). As always, the time to get this group of tracks is limited – so get over there in a hurry!!!
